Gachiakuta is a dark fantasy anime adapted from the manga by Kei Urana and graffiti artist Hideyoshi Andou. It starts in a floating city where the rich live above and toss their waste — and the poor — down below into an abyss called The Pit. The main character, Rudo, is a young orphan who is falsely accused of murder and exiled to The Pit. Rudo must join a group called the Cleaners, fight monstrous “Trash Beasts”, and challenge the society that cast him away to survive and uncover the truth. The anime is produced by Bones Film, and premiered in July this year. It streams globally on different official sites.
